Field Technician – Fleet Installations PT APPLY NOW

Location: Nationwide (Travel Role)

Summary:

Neotech Solutions is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Field Technicians to join our nationwide installation team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing fleet telematics devices, Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs), and dash cameras in commercial vehicles across a wide range of client sites.

This is a travel-heavy position ideal for technically skilled professionals comfortable with 12V systems and vehicle electronics. While prior fleet technology experience is a plus, training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer sites to install fleet tracking hardware and accessories (overnight and extended travel required).
• Install, configure, and test fleet telematics devices, ELDs, and dash cameras.
• Locate and connect to vehicle diagnostic ports (OBDII, J1939, J1708, etc.).
• Route cables cleanly and securely, mount equipment properly, and ensure systems are functioning.
• Complete digital checklists and submit installation reports in real time using mobile apps.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues during or after installation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and end users as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to all client site safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel 90%+ of the time, including overnight and weekend travel.
• Experience with 12V vehicle electrical systems or electronics installation (preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working in various vehicle types (light-duty, heavy-duty, commercial).
• Ability to use basic hand tools (multimeter, screwdrivers, zip ties, routing tools).
• Comfortable working under dashboards or in tight cab spaces.
• Strong communication, time management, and self-direction skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with Geotab & other fleet solutions.
• Owning a basic tool kit is preferred.
